A small companion app for giving a DMX Core temporary internet access when it is installed on a network without one (for example, to run software or Host OS updates). Run it on a computer that is on the same network as the DMX Core and has internet access (such as a laptop on Wi-Fi), then activate the passthrough from the DMX Core web page under Utilities → Internet Passthrough. It updates itself automatically.
The DMX Core routes through any standard SOCKS5 proxy, so DMX Core Connect is optional.
For example, with gost
(free): run gost -L socks5://:1080 on the computer, then enter that computer's
IP address and port 1080 manually on the Internet Passthrough page.
On Windows, security software may block third-party proxy tools — DMX Core Connect
is signed and is the recommended choice there.
